A couple was brutally attacked by unidentified miscreants wielding sharp weapons in the Saheed Nagar area of Bhubaneswar late on Saturday night.
The assailants stabbed the woman in her abdomen and severely assaulted her husband before fleeing the scene.
Panicked onlookers rushed to the couple’s aid, finding the woman with stab wounds and the man lying in a pool of blood. Both victims were immediately admitted to Capital Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after and began their investigation. As of now, the identities of the attackers and the victims remain unknown, and the motive behind the assault is yet to be determined.
