Cop Suspended For 'Beating Up' Man

Jagatsinghpur: A sub-inspector has been suspended for allegedly beating a man in Tirtol police station in the Jagatsinghpur district. The officer identified as SI Anirudha Nayak was suspended on the direction of SP (Jagatsinghpur) Prakash R. According to the complainant Rashmikant Sahoo of Nuagaon village, he was allegedly assaulted by SI Nayak over the construction of a toilet in the village. Though the incident took place on June 12, it came to light after Sahoo, submitted a complaint to Jagatsinghpur SP Prakash on Wednesday.
