Congress leaders, including Tara Prasad Bahinipati, CS Rajan Ekka, and Pabitra Sounta, later visited the chamber of Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik to seek support from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). BJP leaders dismiss Congress’s no-confidence motion as symbolic and ineffective, calling it a political stunt lacking numbers:
Meanwhile, senior BJP MLA Jaynarayan Mishra mocked the move, calling it a “silver medal contest” between Congress and BJD. He asserted that the motion would have no impact on the government.
