Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari said the state government has instructed the Collectors of districts affected by the recent unseasonal rainfall in Odisha to conduct a thorough assessment of the damage to crops.
Minister Pujari stated to the media, “The Collectors have been directed to carry out a proper assessment of crop loss due to the unseasonal rainfall.”
“Revenue officials, including Tehsildars, Revenue Inspectors, and Amins from unaffected areas, have also been enlisted to assist in assessing the loss in the affected regions of the state. This evaluation will be carried out accurately once the rain subsides,” the Minister added.
Pujari assured farmers that the state government would provide adequate compensation for their crop losses and offer assistance in selling any remaining crops. He also mentioned that he would personally visit the affected areas if necessary.
