Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre on Sunday issued a fresh warning on continuance of chilly weather in 7 districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
According to the latest bulletin, cold wave condition is expected to prevail over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi and Kandhamal during the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the Met department has suggested infant and elderly people to avoid prolonged exposure to cold during night and early in the morning.
It said that there will be no change in minimum night temperature and it will be below normal by 3 to 5 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours. The temperature will rise subsequently in the next 2 days by 3 to 4 degrees, it said in a release.
