A severe cold wave continues to grip Odisha as temperatures drop sharply across several regions, particularly in the interior and southern districts. The Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre has indicated that there will be no significant rise in night temperatures over the next week, signalling prolonged discomfort for residents.
Temperatures Plummet Across Key Districts
According to the latest 24-hour data, G. Udayagiri recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 5.6°C, making it the coldest location. Several other regions also witnessed intense cold conditions:

In response to worsening visibility conditions, the Meteorological Department has issued a dense fog warning for the next two days for the following districts:
