During his two-day visit to Sambalpur, Majhi inaugurated a state-of-the-art bus terminal at Ainthaapali, developed under the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT). Furthermore, he declared a provision of Rs 238.14 crore for the maintenance of the buses and terminal over the next 10 years.

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister stressed that the initiative will ease travel and improve organisation for Sambalpur residents. He highlighted that the buses come with wheelchair facilities for differently-abled passengers and assured that safety and comfort remain top priorities.

In addition, the e-buses support digital payment systems, offering discounts for cashless transactions. Majhi underlined that the introduction of e-buses will reduce pollution and strengthen sustainable urban transport, making the service both eco-friendly and commuter-friendly.

The launch event also witnessed the presence of Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra, former MLA Nauri Naik, and BJP District President Ramchandra Meher, among others.
