During the event, the Chief Minister announced a financial assistance package of Rs. 7 crore aimed at improving the infrastructure of Anandpur College. This package includes the construction of a multi-purpose hall, a seminar hall, and enhancements to the sports ground. Additionally, Anandpur College will soon achieve the status of an autonomous college.

In his speech, CM Majhi also pledged Rs. 2 crore for the improvement of the Anandpur Sub-division Hospital and Rs. 20 crore for the complete construction of a stadium in Anandpur. He emphasized the government’s commitment to the development of education, educational institutions, teachers, and students in Odisha.

Reflecting on his own student days, the Chief Minister shared memories from his time at Anandpur College, evoking emotions while recounting experiences with his teachers and friends. He encouraged students to remain steadfast in their studies, assuring them that their hard work, coupled with their teachers’ blessings, would lead them to success.

CM Majhi highlighted the implementation of NEP-2020 and the adoption of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) as steps taken by his government to strengthen Odisha’s education system. He also mentioned the PM Usha Yojana, a scheme aimed at enhancing higher education quality and providing ICT-based infrastructure and employment opportunities.

In the coming budget, a significant allocation of Rs. 41,273 crore has been dedicated to education, reflecting the government’s commitment to this sector. The Chief Minister assured that this investment would pave the way for Odisha’s students and teachers to meet national and international standards.

The event also saw participation from Higher Education Minister Shri Suryavanshi Suraj, who discussed the reintroduction of student parliament elections and the establishment of Godavarish Primary School to strengthen the primary education system.

Keonjhar MP Ananta Nayak, Ghasipura MLA Badri Narayan Patra, and Anandpur MLA Abhimanyu Sethi were present as chief guests. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Narayan Mishra, the college chairman, who also proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the event.
