Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja emphasized the importance of collaboration between government, civil society, and citizens to achieve the dream of a developed Odisha during the 43rd Foundation Day celebration of the Centre for Youth and Social Development (CYSD).
Mr Ahuja highlighted the need for efficient public service delivery, urging officials to treat people with respect and eliminate delays in the Common Service Centers (CSCs), a key part of the Digital India initiative.
Chief Secy Ahuja advocated for the introduction of a social audit system under the Odisha Right to Public Services (ORTPS) Act to penalize delays, ensuring transparency and accountability in governance. He commended CYSD’s efforts in bridging gaps and ensuring marginalized communities benefit from government schemes.
Mr Ahuja also released the report of the Odisha Vikash Conclave (OVC), which unites stakeholders to drive inclusive development and policy advocacy.
The event recognized grassroots leaders and organizations for their contributions. Milestone achievements such as zero migration, organic farming, and sustainable water conservation were celebrated, showcasing the impact of CYSD’s initiatives across 12 districts in Odisha.
