A shocking incident has sparked public outrage in Nabarangpur district as police recovered the charred body of a woman from the roadside near Daspur DNK village, close to the Turudihi main road connecting Raighar to Chhattisgarh.
To begin, a local landowner from Boragaon Colony noticed the burning body late at night and immediately filed a written complaint at Raighar police station. As soon as the police received the information, they rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. They found the body completely burnt, which led them to suspect that the crime occurred during the late hours.
Next, police called in a scientific team to collect evidence and strengthen the probe. Investigators revealed that the woman may have been set ablaze using eucalyptus bark, commonly found in the nearby forest area. Because of the sensitive nature of the case, officials demanded a high-level investigation.
Furthermore, authorities are working to establish the victim’s identity, trace how she was brought to the isolated location, and identify those responsible for the crime. Raighar IIC Raghunath Majhi and his team are examining all possible angles, gathering forensic details, and questioning locals to reconstruct the sequence of events.
Finally, police assured that they will pursue every lead to uncover the truth behind this disturbing incident, while public anger continues to grow across the region.
