The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has introduced Aadhaar-based eKYC for the Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2025.

This initiative aims to streamline the registration process, making it faster, secure, and more efficient for pilgrims.

Since the registration’s launch on March 20, 2025, over 750,000 devotees have already embraced Aadhaar-based online registration. Alongside the “Tourist Care Uttarakhand” mobile app, this digital transformation enhances crowd management, reduces resource wastage, and ensures smooth emergency responses. Offline registration options remain accessible for those preferring traditional methods, ensuring inclusivity.

This fusion of modern technology with sacred tradition highlights the state’s commitment to improving pilgrims’ experience while upholding the essence of these spiritual journeys.
