A violent clash erupted inside a bar in Bhubaneswar’s Chandrasekharpur area late Saturday night, leaving three youths injured.
The fight began between two groups and spilt onto the streets, creating panic among locals.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 1 AM in Gadakana. A group of youths from Sambalpur and another from the local area exchanged heated remarks inside the bar. Alcohol influence escalated the situation, leading to physical confrontation.
Witnesses said one group attempted to keep the bar open beyond closing hours using influence, but failed. A remark from the other group triggered tempers, and the fight quickly turned into a street brawl. The clash continued for nearly an hour, causing chaos in the neighbourhood.
Chandrasekharpur police rushed to the spot and deployed seven PCR vans to control the situation. Officers managed to disperse the groups and restore normalcy. Three youths sustained injuries during the fight and received medical attention.
Police registered a case and began an investigation. Officials are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the exact cause and participants involved. No arrests have been made so far.
