India has announced its final squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Unfortunately, Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out due to a stress-related lower back issue.
Harshit Rana will replace him. The team has also included mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy, replacing batter Yashasvi Jaiswal.
The Champions Trophy will commence on February 19 in Pakistan, with India kicking off their campaign against Bangladesh in Dubai on February 20.
Concerns over Bumrah’s long-term fitness played a key role in the selection decisions, as the selectors opted for caution over the risk of a mid-tournament breakdown.
