K-pop sensations Jimin and Jungkook, members of the global megagroup BTS, were officially discharged from South Korea’s military on Wednesday after completing their 18-month mandatory service.
In a brief ceremony held at a public sports facility near their former unit in Yeoncheon, around 60 km north of Seoul, the duo made a public appearance in full military uniform. They saluted hundreds of fans and media personnel who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the beloved idols.
Both Jimin (Park Ji-min) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung-kook) greeted their supporters with warm smiles, their poised presence sparking emotional reactions across social media. Videos of their appearance were quickly circulated by their fanbase, ARMY, trending globally within minutes.
Their return marks a significant moment for fans worldwide, as BTS continues its gradual reunion with more members set to complete service later this year.
