Concern is growing among fans of global K-pop group BTS after member Jungkook made troubling remarks during a now-deleted live broadcast on Weverse.

The livestream, which began around 3:40 am KST on February 26 and lasted approximately 88 minutes, showed Jungkook in an emotional state while interacting with fans and singing with friends. During the session, he suggested that some people “want to kill” him, triggering widespread concern online.

Jungkook Mentions Hate and Death Threats

In a clip that continues to circulate on social media, Jungkook said:

“Honestly, there must be a lot of people who don’t support me and don’t like me and want to belittle me… and people who want to kill me. There must be a lot of people who hate me. But so what? I don’t care.”

The broadcast has since been removed from Weverse. However, excerpts remain widely shared, prompting discussions about artist safety and the pressures faced by public figures.

According to translations published by South Korean media outlets, Jungkook also expressed frustration over scrutiny surrounding his personal life and public image.

Comments on Live Broadcasts and Personal Choices

During the live session, Jungkook reportedly said he wanted to communicate more freely with fans and did not want to feel restricted during broadcasts.

He also addressed past controversies related to smoking, which first drew attention in 2023 after a photo of him surfaced online. Jungkook stated that he has since quit and acknowledged the effort it required.

The remarks have reignited conversations about privacy, public expectations, and mental health within the entertainment industry.

Fans Rally in Support

Fans quickly flooded social media platforms with supportive messages, urging Jungkook to prioritize his health and safety. Many expressed concern about the mention of death threats and called for stronger protective measures for artists.

Supporters emphasized the immense pressure that comes with global fame, especially as BTS prepares for a major comeback.

BTS Comeback and Upcoming Projects

All seven members — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — are currently preparing for their first studio album in four years. BTS is scheduled to release Arirang on March 20, followed by a global comeback live event that will stream on Netflix.

As anticipation builds around their return, fans worldwide continue to send messages of encouragement and solidarity.
