The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha announced that the Class X matriculation results will be declared in the first week of May, informed board President Shrikant Tarai on Thursday

This announcement follows the successful conclusion of the examinations today.

BSE President Shrikanth Tarai stated that the evaluation of the answer sheets will commence on March 19. “Starting from the 19th of this month, we will begin the evaluation of the answer sheets and aim to release the results by the first week of May, as long as there are no delays due to natural calamities or other unavoidable circumstances,” he said.

Expressing his gratitude, Tarai thanked the district collectors, administrative officials, police forces, and media persons for their support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the examinations. He also highlighted the success of the various security measures implemented by the board, including barcodes, watermarks, and encrypted security numbers, in preventing leaks and disruptions.

“For this exam, the BSE incorporated watermarks, barcodes, and encrypted security numbers on each paper to trace any leaks back to their source,” Tarai noted. He also mentioned that the board had set up an elaborate central command center that monitored the activities of the examination centers via a live feed.

Over 5 lakh students appeared for the matriculation exams conducted by the state government’s BSE this year, including students appearing for the Madhyama and State Open School Certificate exams. The exams were held across 3,133 centers in Odisha from 9:00 to 11:30 am on each exam day.
