A shocking incident in Bhubaneswar exposed the growing menace of gangster violence when miscreants tied a youth to an SUV and dragged him for 22 kilometres before launching a brutal assault.
The attack occurred in the Pandara area late Monday night. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants used a white SUV with registration number OD 01 AD 1009. The vehicle’s rear glass shattered during the assault, and blood stains appeared inside. The victim suffered severe injuries, and doctors admitted him to a hospital for urgent treatment.
Police from Sahid Nagar Station reached the scene quickly and seized the SUV. Investigators began checking CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the attackers. Multiple teams started tracking suspects, while officers examined whether old enmity or disputes triggered the assault.
