Tension gripped the sacred town of Puri on Friday after unidentified miscreants hurled bombs near a residential area.
The incident occurred close to the Nua Mochi Sahi Chhak under the jurisdiction of Puri Town Police Station.
According to preliminary reports, three individuals arrived on a motorcycle and threw two crude bombs at a house located in a congested locality. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported.
Police reached the spot promptly and launched an investigation. Sources suggest that the attack may have stemmed from a prior enmity. Crucially, CCTV cameras in the vicinity captured the entire sequence, which could aid in identifying the culprits.
Authorities have assured that the motive and identities behind the attack will be clarified following a detailed probe.
