Odisha experienced its highest temperature of the season so far on Wednesday, with Jharsuguda reaching a scorching 37°C, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Other regions of the state also saw a noticeable increase in temperature, with Bhadrak hitting 36.2°C, Balangir at 36°C, Angul recording 35.7°C, and Bhubaneswar reaching 34.8°C.
The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has forecasted a drop in minimum temperatures by 3-5°C over the next four days, although no significant changes in night temperatures are expected afterwards.
The sudden rise in temperatures has caused discomfort among residents, prompting the weather department to advise everyone to take necessary precautions to stay safe from the heat.
