The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on the Congress on Thursday, alleging that a recent foreign media investigation exposes a “regime change plot” and an “anarchy model” orchestrated by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
Citing a Fox News Digital report titled “Global Chaos Inc Grows to 101 Groups,” the BJP claimed that 101 organisations across 13 countries are coordinating unrest, linking anti-CEC protests in India to riots in France and demonstrations elsewhere.
Addressing a press conference, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia labelled Gandhi a “gaddar” (traitor) and “Mir Jafar,” alleging he is part of a “red-green ecosystem” composed of communist and Islamist groups aiming to undermine elected governments.
Echoing the charges, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed the report identified the left-wing network Progressive International (PI) as a key coordinator of common messaging across international protests.
Bhandari highlighted an April 2025 meeting between Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and PI delegates at 10 Janpath, questioning whether Congress collaborated with foreign entities to trigger domestic turmoil.
The Congress has not yet issued an official response to the BJP’s allegations.
