A crucial meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislative party, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, was held on Thursday in Room No. 54 of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
The meeting discussed several critical issues, including the no-confidence motion proposed by the Congress party.
“The BJP government, including its ministers and MLAs, is ready to respond. The ideologies of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress are entirely different, but the government operates with a strong majority. Out of 147 seats, the people of Odisha have supported the BJP, and they are witnessing the state’s progress under our governance,” Mahaling said.
He further emphasised that if the no-confidence motion is brought to the floor of the House, the government will provide a befitting reply. Mahaling also advised the Congress to raise the issue of liquor prohibition through an adjournment motion to facilitate a thorough discussion.
The meeting was attended by all state cabinet ministers, BJP state president Manmohan Samal, state in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, and the party’s MLAs.
