New Delhi: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MPs have urged the Centre to release pending funds to Odisha on various agricultural projects and higher education programmes.
A delegation of BJD MPs today met Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and submitted a memorandum requesting for the release of Central Assistance for Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) under Programme Expenditure during 2020-21.
The Parliamentarian apprised the Union Minister that it is the terminal month of current FY 2020-21 which is going to end very shortly. They requested to direct the department concerned for the release of pending funds to Odisha i.e Rs 129.96 crores under the Rashtriya Uchhatar Sikhsya Abhiyan (RUSA).

The delegation of BJD MP also met Parshottam Rupala, Minister of State, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, and submitted another memorandum to release the balance fund to Odisha i.e Rs 568.06 crores under various programmes.
