Leader of Opposition and BJD president Naveen Patnaik convened a pivotal meeting at his residence, Naveen Niwas, on Monday.


The gathering, attended by senior leaders like Debi Prasad Mishra, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Pratap Keshari Deb, Pranab Prakash Das, and Arun Sahoo, focused on forming the party’s new executive committee.

The 81-member team of office bearers is expected to be announced soon, with discussions emphasising a balanced leadership structure.

Senior leader Arun Sahoo dismissed rumours of internal conflict, asserting the party’s unity. The meeting comes as political parties gear up for rural elections in Odisha.
