The Bhubaneswar-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express was attacked by miscreants near Kalunga station on Wednesday.
Stones were pelted at the train, damaging windowpanes but leaving passengers unharmed. Following the incident, the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Rourkela initiated an investigation to identify those involved.
Railway officials have assured passengers that stringent action will be taken against individuals compromising railway safety. Despite the attack, the train arrived at Rourkela as scheduled in the afternoon and resumed its journey back to Bhubaneswar at 2:15 PM.
