The Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur on Monday convicted the former PEO-Cum-VLW in vigilance corruption case and sentenced him to undergo 2 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000.
The accused has been identified as Madan Mohan Muduli, Former PEO-cum-VLW, Bhanjanagar Block, Dist-Ganjam (Retired).
Muduli was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c)(d) PC Act,1988/406/420/120-B IPC, for showing undue official favour to an ingenuine beneficiary in getting an IAY house, and thereby causing loss to the Govt.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for the stoppage of the pension of Madan Mohan Muduli following his conviction.
