A violent incident occurred near a liquor shop at Grama Debati Sahi, where a youth identified as Hemant Sethi (28) was attacked by a group of men.
The injured youth hails from Anantei village under the Digapahandi police station limits.
According to reports, Hemant, who works as a mason, had gone to the liquor shop when an argument broke out with some local youths. The dispute quickly escalated, and the group allegedly assaulted him with sharp weapons.
Hemant sustained serious injuries and was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The incident triggered tension in the locality, with residents expressing concern over rising group clashes. Police have been alerted and are monitoring the situation to prevent further unrest.
