The Board of Control for Cricket in India has officially announced the schedule for India national cricket team’s 2026–27 international home season, featuring a packed calendar of matches across multiple formats.
The upcoming season will include tours by West Indies cricket team, Sri Lanka national cricket team, Zimbabwe national cricket team, and Australia national cricket team. In total, 22 international matches will be played across 17 cities in India, offering fans widespread access to live cricket action.
West Indies Tour to Kick Off Season
The home season will begin with the West Indies tour starting on September 27, 2026. The series will feature three One Day Internationals (ODIs) followed by five T20 Internationals (T20Is).
- ODI venues: Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, New Chandigarh
- T20I venues: Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad, Bengaluru
Sri Lanka Series in December
India will host Sri Lanka in December 2026 for a white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is.
- ODI venues: Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad
- T20I venues: Rajkot, Cuttack, Pune
Zimbabwe Tour in Early 2027
At the start of 2027, Zimbabwe will visit India for a three-match ODI series.
- Venues: Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai
Border-Gavaskar Trophy Against Australia
The season will conclude with the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, featuring a five-match Test series against Australia starting January 21, 2027.
- Test venues: Nagpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi, Ahmedabad
The series is expected to draw significant attention as two of the world’s top cricketing nations face off in one of the sport’s most competitive rivalries.
