In a sharp response to Pakistan’s accusations of sponsoring terrorism, India on Friday rejected the claims, asserting that the true “epicentre of global terrorism” lies elsewhere.

The statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs came after Islamabad blamed India for supporting terrorist activities, particularly in connection to the recent Balochistan train hijacking that led to 21 deaths.

The train hijacking incident on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan resulted in a prolonged hostage situation. Pakistan’s foreign office claims that calls made during the attack were traced to Afghanistan. Despite this, Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan accused India of running a “global assassination campaign” and destabilizing neighboring countries.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, dismissed these allegations as baseless, urging Pakistan to address its internal problems instead of shifting blame. Jaiswal emphasized that the international community is well aware of where the true “epicentre of global terrorism” is located.

In response, the Taliban in Afghanistan also rejected Pakistan’s claims, urging Pakistan to focus on solving its own security challenges.
