These joint operations, ongoing for ten days now, were initiated after an earlier exchange of fire on April 14.
Meanwhile, security measures have been strengthened along the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway, including 24/7 checkpoints. This comes in light of heightened tensions in the area following Tuesday’s devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where 26 tourists lost their lives. This deadly strike marks one of the most severe acts of terrorism since the Pulwama incident in 2019.
