Bolangir: Odisha vigilance sleuths today apprehended an Asst.Revenue Inspector & In-charge Revenue Inspector and her accomplice in Bolangir district for taking Rs 10,000 bribe.
The accused persons have been identified as Reshma Majhi, Asst. Revenue Inspector & In-charge Revenue Inspector, Belgaon RI Circle under Saintala Tahasil, Dist-Bolangir and her accomplice Babulal Nanda (Mantu).
Majhi has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from a complainant through Nanda to forward an enquiry report in a mutation case in favour of the complaint’s relative to Tahasil office, Saintala for issuance of ROR ( Land Patta). The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of both the accused persons Majhi and Sri Nanda and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Majhi, I/c RI from a DA angle.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No. 10 dt.29.04.2024 U/s 7/12 P. C. Act, 1988 as amended by P.C. Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress against both the accused persons and Nanda( Private Person). Further reports are awaited.
