Archana Nag has filed a complaint against her husband, Jagabandhu, accusing him of attempting to kill her and their son.
According to the FIR filed late Tuesday night, Jagabandhu allegedly broke into her residence armed with a knife and tried to attack them.
The couple has been living separately due to an ongoing divorce case. Following the complaint, Mancheswar police detained Jagabandhu and recovered a knife from his possession. Authorities confirmed that prima facie evidence supports the charges, and statements from Archana and her son have been recorded. The police are investigating whether the incident was premeditated.
This incident comes a little over a month after Archana made allegations against senior BJD leaders and police officers, claiming political harassment in a previous high-profile honey trap and extortion case. BJD leaders denied the claims, stating the matter was sub judice, and senior officials named by Archana also denied any involvement.
The case is under investigation, and further updates are expected as police examine additional evidence.
