Bolangir: One of the major festivals of the tribal people of western Odisha, the Sulia Yatra, will be held on January 11 in Bolangir district of Odisha. It was intimated following a meeting of the ‘Milita Sulia Jatra Puja Committee’.
A meeting was held in this regard in the main khala at Khairguda by the Milita Sulia Jatra Puja Committee where it was decided to observe the festival amid Covid restrictions while the tradition of animal sacrifice will be observed this year also.
As per reports, the animal sacrifice will go on at the Badakhala and Sanakhala of Khairaguda. The worship will also go on at the Nua Khala as per the tradition.
