Australia’s Annabel Sutherland has ascended to the No. 1 position in the ICC Women’s T20I bowling rankings, marking a career milestone despite her absence from recent matches.
Her consistent rating of 736 proved enough to surpass Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal, who slipped after a modest showing against Ireland.
Iqbal, who managed just three wickets in the 2-1 series loss in Dublin, now shares the second spot with India’s Deepti Sharma. Meanwhile, Ireland’s Orla Prendergast has made headlines with a career-best leap in the rankings. Her all-round brilliance—144 runs at a strike rate of 135.84 and four wickets—earned her the Player-of-the-Series award and propelled her to 19th among batters and sixth among all-rounders.
Other notable movements include Ireland’s Laura Delany and Rebecca Stokell climbing to joint 50th and 77th respectively, while Pakistan’s Muneeba Ali and Fatima Sana also made gains.
These shifts reflect the dynamic nature of women’s cricket, where emerging talents continue to challenge established names and redefine global rankings.
