Bollywood’s newest sensation Aneet Padda is all set to lead Maddock Films’ much-anticipated horror comedy Shakti Shalini, replacing Kiara Advani in the project.
The 22-year-old, who made her debut earlier this year with Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara opposite Ahaan Panday, has reportedly signed on as the new face of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
Producer Dinesh Vijan Bets on Aneet
According to reports, Maddock Films’ head Dinesh Vijan was keen on bringing fresh energy into his successful horror-comedy franchise.
“Aneet Padda has been in discussions for Shakti Shalini for the last two months. Dinesh Vijan loved her performance in Saiyaara and has decided to mount the next chapter of his horror comedy universe on her,” a source revealed.
The film is slated for a December 31, 2025 theatrical release, with shooting expected to begin towards the end of 2025. Though the director has not been officially announced, Vijan is reportedly in talks with Aditya Sarpotdar (Munjya fame).
