Anandapur: Khaliamenta Sarpanch’s husband has been arrested on the charges of attacking Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) at Ghasipura block office here.
Reportedly, cops also seized 2 vehicles from the house of the accused, Surendra Bhuyan.
A BJP team met with Police DG regarding the same.
As per available reports, the accused approached Ghasipura PEO over a project to demand “favours” and asked him to help in an alleged misappropriation. While the PEO declined the same, the enraged accused attacked the former.
