Senior Odisha politicians Amar Satpathy and Prabhat Tripathy returned to Bhubaneswar from New Delhi on Saturday, putting an end to widespread political speculation surrounding their recent visit to the national capital.

Speaking to the media after their arrival, both leaders clarified that their trip to Delhi was undertaken for personal reasons and was not linked to any political discussions or realignments.

Addressing rumours about a possible move to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Amar Satpathy firmly stated that no discussions have taken place regarding joining the party or forming a new political outfit.

“There has been no talk about joining the BJP. No decision has been taken about forming or joining any new party. If any decision is made in the future, it will be communicated at the appropriate time,” Satpathy said.

Prabhat Tripathy echoed similar sentiments, calling the ongoing speculation
