A tragic accident in Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar, claimed the life of an elderly man when an Ama bus struck him, dragging the body before fleeing the scene.

The incident triggered fury among locals who blocked roads in protest, placing the victim’s body on the street. Tensions escalated as the crowd pelted stones at the bus, shattering its windows, while chaos gripped the area.

Locas have long voiced concerns over reckless driving by Mo Bus drivers, with similar fatal incidents reported earlier this year.

Authorities are yet to comment, but the incident has reignited calls for better traffic management and accountability in Odisha’s capital city.
