Delhi is set to experience significant traffic disruptions on Sunday, November 9, 2025, as four major public events are scheduled to take place across the city.
The Delhi Traffic Police issued a series of advisories on Saturday, warning commuters of possible snarls in central and southern Delhi throughout the day.
The events that could cause traffic congestion include Akon’s live concert, Samay Raina’s stand-up comedy show, and the first edition of the SCBA Run/Walkathon hosted by the Supreme Court Bar Association. Here’s a breakdown of how these events will impact traffic flow:
1. SCBA Run/Walkathon (7 am – 9 am)
The SCBA Run/Walkathon—titled “Justice for All”—will take place on Sunday morning at 7 am. As a result, traffic will be restricted on several major routes including Tilak Marg, C-Hexagon, Mathura Road, and Purana Quila Road. For the convenience of the general public, the traffic diversion will be in place from 7 am to 9 am. Commuters traveling towards Dhaula Kuan can use alternative routes via Vande Matram Marg and Mother Teresa Crescent Marg.
2. Akon’s Live Concert (5 pm – 10 pm)
The American rapper and singer Akon will perform live at the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium on Lodhi Road in south Delhi. The concert, which is expected to draw around 10,000 attendees, will be held from 5 pm to 10 pm. The traffic police have set up specific entry and parking instructions for the event:

Entry to the stadium will be permitted only through Gate 13 and Gate 14.

Parking will be available at Gate 7 to 9 and the Scope Complex MCD parking.
To manage traffic flow and avoid congestion, restrictions on heavy transport vehicles around the JLN Stadium traffic signal and B.P. Marg will be enforced from 4 pm to 11 pm.
3. Samay Raina’s Stand-Up Comedy Show (1 pm – 11 pm)
The popular comedian Samay Raina continues his stand-up comedy show titled “Samay Raina Still Alive & Unfiltered” at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Indraprastha Estate near ITO. This event, running from 1 pm to 11 pm, will cause diversions on key routes like IP Marg, Vikas Marg, and the Ring Road in central Delhi.
4. Drainage System Construction (All day)
In addition to the above events, roadwork to improve the drainage system and construct a U-drain at Panchkuian-Bangla Sahib Road will result in the restriction of traffic on one or both carriageways. This work will affect traffic from Outer CC Panchkuian Road towards Panchkuian Road and vice versa, throughout the day.
