Aamir Khan, one of India’s most celebrated actors, has been honored at the Macau Comedy Festival, solidifying his status as a global cinema icon.
Known for his meticulous storytelling and socially impactful films, Aamir joined an impressive lineup of international comedy stars, including Shen Teng and Ma Li, to discuss the power of humour in bridging cultures.
His presence at the festival underlines his tremendous popularity in China, where his films like 3 Idiots, PK, Dangal, and Secret Superstar have shattered box office records. Dangal, a sports drama inspired by real-life events, amassed $193 million in China, while Secret Superstar earned $109 million, proving his massive international appeal.

Looking ahead, Aamir is gearing up for his next big project, Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to his 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par.
