Gurbir Singh, Director (Technical) of the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department, retired from government service on September 30.

Colleagues, department staff, and representatives from the Odisha Information Service Association met with him to offer warm farewell wishes for a healthy post-retirement life.

Looking back on his career journey that began in 1994, Singh shared his experiences and encouraged public relations officers across the state to perform their duties with dedication, resilience, and precision.

Singh started his service in 1994 as the Sub-Divisional I&PR Officer in Jayapur, Koraput, later serving across districts like Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamala, Kalahandi, and Puri. He also worked as the Deputy Director (Public Relations) for the Southern Division before concluding his career as Director (Technical) at the state directorate.
