The Capital Police in Bhubaneswar successfully arrested a long-absconding warrantee involved in a high-profile attempt to murder and criminal intimidation case.
Under the Commissionerate Police’s ‘Daman’ campaign, the operation led to the arrest of Binay Nayak from Kedarpalli Basti. He had long evaded law enforcement for a serious criminal case (CT Case No. 88/18) registered at the Capital Police Station under multiple IPC sections.
Despite non-bailable warrants from the Khordha District and Sessions Judge, Nayak successfully avoided capture. Acting on intelligence tips under the ‘Daman’ initiative, a special team finally tracked down and arrested him.
