Panic gripped the Badagada Brit Colony area after three masked robbers allegedly broke into the Tarini Temple late at night and looted the donation box.
According to reports, the accused scaled the boundary wall before entering the premises. They then cut open the donation box and fled with the offerings.
The incident came to light when temple authorities noticed the broken box and alerted the police. Following a complaint, Badagada Police have launched an investigation and are examining leads to identify the culprits.
The robbery has sparked concern among devotees and locals, who demanded stronger security measures at religious institutions. Police officials assured that efforts are underway to track down the accused and recover the stolen property.
