A young woman passenger has accused a railway employee of raping her inside Raurkela railway station premises after he allegedly lured her with the promise of arranging a confirmed ticket.
According to the complaint, the staffer took her to a valve room near Platform 1 on the pretext of helping with her ticket and assaulted her there. The woman later approached authorities and filed a formal complaint.
Government Railway Police (GRP) registered a case and launched an investigation. Officials arrested the accused railway employee, identified as Kapileswar Singh, and produced him before a court.
