Empowering the Downtrodden: PM Modi’s Tribute to Dr. Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur today, a site celebrated for its historical and social significance.


Recognized as a symbol of social justice and empowerment for the downtrodden, Deekshabhoomi was the backdrop for the Prime Minister’s reaffirmation of his government’s dedication to the ideals of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

In a heartfelt post on X, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude towards Dr. Ambedkar for giving India a Constitution that safeguards dignity and equality for all citizens. He emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to realize the vision of an inclusive India, as outlined by Dr. Ambedkar.

“Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur stands tall as a symbol of social justice and empowering the downtrodden. Generations of Indians will remain grateful to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar for giving us a Constitution that ensures our dignity and equality. Our Government has always walked on the path shown by Pujya Babasaheb and we reiterate our commitment to working even harder to realise the India he dreamt of,” shared Prime Minister Modi.

The visit served as a powerful reminder of the values enshrined in India’s Constitution and the need for collective action in building a just and equitable society.

In a post on X, he wrote:
