New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh government has issued orders to shut down all Covid centres except in Bhopal as Corona cases are declining.
The Congress, however, has attacked the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government saying it has failed to serve the people in times of the pandemic.
Congress leader Jitu Patwari  told the media that coronavirus cases in Indore are rising but the state government is closing down Covid centres. He alleged that the government has failed to serve the people at this critical juncture during the ongoing pandemic.
The order issued to district collectors on December 31, 2020 that majority of Covid-care centres were witnessing minimum bed occupancy so all such centres will be shut down from January 1, 2021.But, the Bhopal centre will be spared.
The order said if there is a spike in the number of patients in the future, districts should seek special permission to reopen Covid-care centres.
