Legendary Odia playback singer Pranab Patnaik was accorded a Guard of Honour at his Bhubaneswar residence on Friday, as the state paid its final respects to one of its most iconic voices.
Patnaik, who passed away at the age of 88, was remembered as an immortal talent whose melodious voice enriched Odia music for over six decades. The solemn ceremony reflected the state’s recognition of his unparalleled contribution to art and culture.
