In a significant move to accelerate development across multiple sectors, the 46th meeting of the Odisha State Cabinet was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan.

The high-level meeting saw detailed discussions and approval of ten important proposals spanning six key departments of the state government. After the meeting, Chief Secretary Anu Garg briefed the media on the decisions taken.

The approved proposals include two each from the Electronics & Information Technology Department, Energy Department, Water Resources Department, and Women & Child Development Department.

In addition, one proposal related to Agristack under the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department and one from the General Administration & Public Grievance Department received the Cabinet’s nod.

Chief Secretary Anu Garg briefed the media after the meeting, stating that the Cabinet thoroughly examined media reports claiming farmers were facing difficulties in Agristack registration, which in turn was affecting their ability to register for paddy procurement under PPAS.

“The Cabinet has taken note of these concerns and discussed the matter in detail. It is clarified that Agristack registration is not linked with PPAS registration for paddy procurement. Farmers need not worry about their paddy procurement on account of their Agristack farmers’ registry status. Their registration in the PPAS system will proceed this year in the same manner as the previous year,” the official statement said.
