In the clip, Rhea appears to defend a contestant after he comments about Mallika’s “comeback”. Rhea says she does not think the remark was particularly bad.
Mallika then questions why the discussion is about a comeback. She tells Rhea that if the game is about comebacks, she could also refer to Rhea’s time in jail.
The comment appears to leave Rhea visibly irritated, turning the exchange into one of the talking points from the upcoming season.
Viewers divided over Mallika’s remark
The clip has received mixed reactions online. Some viewers criticised Mallika for bringing a deeply personal experience into a reality-show argument.
Several comments described the remark as disrespectful rather than “savage”. Others argued that personal struggles should not be used as ammunition during a television game.
However, Mallika also received support from some viewers. Fans praised her outspoken personality and said the confrontation had increased their interest in the new season.
The contrasting reactions have helped generate buzz around The Traitors Season 2 even before its premiere.
