The Phase-I, Second Selection Admission Statistics Report for the academic year 2026–27 has been released, marking another milestone in Odisha’s higher secondary admission process.
A total of 87,576 applicants were considered, with 41,470 students selected in the second phase and 25,414 through slide-up requests.
Among streams, Arts led with 12,189 selections, followed by Commerce (2,083), Sanskrit (849), and Vocational (261). The gender distribution shows 22,357 males, 12,072 females, and one transgender applicant selected.
Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Kataka, once again dominated the merit charts, securing the top position in all three major streams — Arts (78%), Commerce (78.20%), and Science (90%). In Science, BJB Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar, and Government Higher Secondary School, Bhawanipatna followed with 84.67% and 84.48% respectively.
In Commerce, Raurkela Government HSC ranked second with 77.60%, while BJB Bhubaneswar stood third. For Arts, Bhawanipatna Government HSC claimed the second spot with 75.17%. Vocational stream toppers included FM HSS Balasore (67.67%) and Bhawanipatna Vocational HSS (63.76%).
The Sanskrit stream saw Sanskrit Higher Secondary School, Brahmagiri (74.50%) leading, followed by Satyabadi Samiti’s HSS, Jajpur (46%).
With over 46,570 students securing seats in this round, the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education noted a balanced representation across districts, reaffirming Odisha’s commitment to transparent and merit-based admissions.
