The Odisha government has issued a notification allowing Suresh Kumar Vashishth, IAS (RR-1998), Principal Secretary to the Government in the SSEPD Department, to hold additional charge as Principal Secretary to the Government in the General Administration & Public Grievance (G.A. & P.G.) Department and the Parliamentary Affairs Department.
The order was issued consequent upon the retirement of Surendra Kumar, IAS (RR-1993), from government service with effect from June 30, 2026 (afternoon).
The notification, issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, states that Vashishth is permitted to remain in additional charge of the two key departments.
The move ensures administrative continuity in the General Administration & Public Grievance and Parliamentary Affairs departments following the retirement of the senior IAS officer.
